[SPASSWORD: OVERTIME] – Bids that do not start with this word will be ignored. I am looking for a professional developer to build a single, self-contained database that cleanly stores regulation-time box scores for six leagues: NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, Men’s NCAA Division I Football, and Men’s NCAA Division I Basketball. THE SCOPE: This is a one-off historical build, not an ongoing scraper. Once delivered, I should be able to drop the file (SQLite) onto any machine and start running SQL queries without additional configuration. DATA NEEDED : No overtime or shoot-out data. Only regulation play: MLB: 9 Innings NFL/NBA/NCAA: 4 Quarters NHL: 3 Periods Ignore all OT/extra innings etc We only need to search MLB Box Scores beginning April 2023 Search all the other sports from the beginning of the 2021 regular season No post season data required for any of the sports ROBUST SEARCH REQUIREMENTS The schema must be normalized and powerful enough to handle complex, multi-variable logic. Here are just a few examples of the types of queries I will run: NFL: Provide box scores of games where the Home Team scored ZERO Touchdowns in the first half Provide box scores of games where one team scored more than 2 TD's in 1st Qtr MLB: Provide box scores of games where >2 runs were scored in the Top of the 4th, exactly 0 in the 5th, and exactly 1 in the Bottom of the 6th. NBA: Games where over 60 pts combined were scored in Q3 but less than 40 in Q4 Etc.. The Database: A single SQLite (.db) file fully populated with regulation box scores (MLB from April 2023; others covering the last 5 years). The Schema: A clear, normalized structure capturing team totals and period/inning splits. The Instructions: A concise import script or step-by-step guide showing how you populated the data so I can repeat the process for future seasons if desired. Zero Install: No Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, or heavy frameworks. Just the database file and the SQL documentation.

Hi, I will build a normalized SQLite database storing regulation-only box scores — period/inning splits and team totals — for all six leagues, with the exact date cutoffs you specified. No OT, no postseason, no dependencies. I will structure scoring splits as separate rows per period/inning per team, making multi-variable queries like "zero TDs in the first half" or "more than 2 runs in the top of the 4th" straightforward with simple WHERE clauses and aggregations. Questions: 1) For NCAA, do you need all D1 teams or a specific conference subset? 2) Should the import script be Python-based or shell-based? Send me a message and we can go over the details. Best regards, Kamran

[SPASSWORD: OVERTIME] I’ve reviewed your requirement for a single portable SQLite database containing regulation-only box scores for NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, NCAA FB and BB, with strict period/inning-level breakdowns and advanced query support. This is a one-time historical build focused on clean structure, not live scraping. I will deliver a normalized SQLite (.db) with tables for games, teams, and per-period stats (quarters/innings/periods), excluding all OT and postseason data. I’ll build a Python ETL pipeline to ingest and structure data from 2021–present (MLB from April 2023), enforcing your scoring and period rules. Schema will be optimized for complex conditional queries across sports while staying lightweight and fully portable. Alongside the database, I’ll provide repeatable import scripts, validation checks, and clear documentation so you can regenerate future seasons if needed. The solution will run on pure SQLite with no external dependencies. I can begin immediately with schema design and data sourcing alignment to ensure correctness from the start. Thanks, Asif

OVERTIME Hi there, I understand you need a fully self-contained SQLite database containing regulation-only box scores for NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB (from April 2023), NCAA D1 Football, and NCAA D1 Basketball (from 2021), with zero overtime/extra innings included, designed for advanced SQL querying across period/quarter/inning-level conditions. My approach is to design a fully normalized SQLite schema separating games, teams, and period-level scoring (quarters/innings/periods), so complex queries like multi-condition scoring patterns can run efficiently without duplication or performance issues. Next, I would build a Python-based ingestion pipeline to collect historical regular-season data from reliable sports datasets, strictly filter out overtime and postseason games, and enforce regulation-only validation rules per league (4 quarters, 3 periods, 9 innings). After that, I would transform and structure all scoring splits into a query-optimized format inside a single portable .db file, ensuring consistency across leagues and enabling deep analytical SQL queries exactly as described. Finally, I would deliver the SQLite database, full schema documentation, and a reproducible script showing how the dataset was built so it can be extended to future seasons if needed. Before I begin, do you want the schema optimized more for raw flexibility (broader fields) or for maximum query speed on complex multi-condition filters? I’m ready to begin immediately. Warm Regards, Aneesa.

OVERTIME Hello, As a result of a detailed review of your project requirements, I fully understand the scope and expectations. I have experience building normalized sports/statistics databases and large-scale structured data pipelines, and I'm available to start your project right now. I bring deep expertise in Python, SQLite, SQL, Data Processing, Web Scraping, Database Architecture, and Statistical Analysis. One of the key challenges in this project is designing a schema flexible enough to support complex period-level queries efficiently across six different sports while excluding all overtime/shootout data cleanly. I can build a self-contained SQLite database with normalized game/team/period tables, regulation-only scoring splits, indexed query paths, and reusable Python import scripts for future season updates. For the data pipeline, I would likely use Python with requests/BeautifulSoup or structured sports data sources, then normalize innings/quarters/periods into a unified schema optimized for analytical SQL queries like the examples you provided. I have a couple of quick questions. • Do you want player-level box score data included as well, or only team/game scoring splits? • Should the final database preserve postponed/suspended game metadata, or exclude incomplete games entirely? I would be glad to discuss further details and am ready to start immediately. Best regards, Carlos.

Hi, This project is a strong fit for my background in structured data systems, sports/statistics processing, and automation pipelines. I understand that you are not looking for a live scraper or a bloated framework setup — you want a clean, portable SQLite database that can immediately handle advanced SQL querying across multiple leagues with regulation-only game data. My approach would be to build a normalized SQLite schema designed specifically for flexible analytical queries like the examples you provided (quarter/inning/period scoring logic, split-based filtering, etc.). The database would support efficient querying without requiring additional software, services, or installations. I would structure the system with: • core game metadata tables • team and opponent mappings • inning/quarter/period scoring breakdowns • regulation-only filtering logic • indexed query-friendly relationships for fast lookups For MLB, I’ll collect regular season games beginning April 2023, and for NFL/NBA/NHL/NCAA Football/NCAA Basketball I’ll capture regular season regulation data beginning with the 2021 season exactly as requested. Overtime, shootouts, and extra innings will be excluded entirely from stored calculations.
