I’m building a web-based Java application that performs intensive data processing while talking seamlessly to our database layer, several third-party APIs, and existing internal enterprise systems. The goal is a single, cohesive platform that ingests raw data from multiple sources, transforms it, and presents the results through a clean browser interface. Core expectations • A robust Java processing engine capable of scheduling, prioritising, and tracking data jobs. • A responsive web UI (desktop and mobile friendly) that lets end-users launch tasks, monitor progress, and download results. • Connectors for relational databases, REST/SOAP APIs, and our on-prem enterprise services, with clear configuration files so new endpoints can be added without code changes. Deliverables 1. Complete, well-structured source code (Java 17+, Spring Boot or equivalent, any proven front-end framework you’re comfortable with). 2. Tested integration modules for each system mentioned above. 3. Straightforward deployment scripts (Docker or bare-metal) and a concise setup guide. 4. Technical documentation covering architecture, data flow, and extension points. Acceptance criteria – Data pipelines run with fault tolerance and detailed logging. – Web UI loads in <2 s on modern browsers and remains responsive during long-running jobs. – All integrations pass agreed-upon test cases and handle common failure modes gracefully. I value clean, maintainable code and clear communication; having around 18 years of Java and UI experience will help you hit the ground running. Let’s create a solution that makes complex data work look effortless.
