I am putting together a small team of hands-on technicians to help me assemble and bring up a run of industrial control boards. Your day-to-day will alternate between placing components on pre-fabricated PCBs, soldering them in place, and then running our standard functional checks before a board leaves the bench. The soldering work is straightforward—through-hole parts, a handful of SMD passives, nothing that calls for reflow or microscope work—so solid basic skills with a temperature-controlled iron, flux and wick are all that’s required. Once a board is built, you will load firmware with a USB programmer, power it, and walk through a scripted test sequence while logging results on a PC. I’ll supply the jig, multimeter, and any specialty fixtures; you simply need to be comfortable following written test steps and recording pass/fail data in an Excel or Google Sheet. Deliverables (per production batch) • Fully assembled boards, visually inspected with clean joints • Completed functional test for each board, with results logged • Quick summary report noting any issues discovered during assembly or test If you enjoy methodical bench work and can keep consistent quality across repetitive builds, I would like to hear from you.
