Your portfolio looks impressive. We would like to start working with you and to start checking your skills. Unfortunately our inhouse mechanical engineer/designer left us for a competitor. So we decided to try the freelancer avenue. If indeed we find your work satisfying we will sure provide you with lots of work.
The first job will be a simple one: We need a SOLID WORKS basic design drawing of a 12 meters semitrailer truck that on top we will install 20 folded solar panels- 10 to the right and 10 to the left . Each panel is approxematly 12 meters long and 2 meters width ( we are not sure of the thickness but we thing you can find them ready in 10-15 cm). Please See basic explanatory draft
All panels are folded like a folding doors, but horizontally. When closed they will be on the trailer folded vertically and attached adjacent /parallel one to the other - to the total width of the trailer (+-2.5 meter?) tied and ready for driving .
To unfold for use : will be with 3 parallel telescopic arms to each side- total of 6. In this stage, we we will use some kind of manually/electric or hydraulic means to move the arms forward to unfold the panels.
All the telescopic arms are movable also vertically ( to enable all the panels to move simultaneously towards the sun).
At the 2 diagonal corners of the truck will be 2 telescopic durable strong 12 meters polls and on top of each poll- 3 arm wind turbine blades which can also be folded so after use the all poll+ the 3 blades will be folded to the side of the truck.
Figure that the size of the trailer should be similar to regular shipping container ( 12meters?) so you may change the measurements accordingly. Also to sizes of real " on the shelve" solar panels/ Total size of panels when spread should not be no less then 400-450 square meters.
Please use your mechanical engineering skills to design it so we can later implement it to a real truck.
you may send us some basic sketches to sea if you understand this " complicated" verbal description.
This job have to be presented to our one of client [url removed, login to view] and animation will be highly appreciated.
