We sometimes get supplied Vector .DBC CAN (Controller Area Network) database files and wish to easily view the contents. The files are basic Ascii in a predefined format, they are not complex database files. I have sample .dbc files attached and the format documentation, (sorry only in HTML). I wish to be able to open DBC files and view the information in a tabular format. Ability to print and export to CSV also required. If we can get the basics (stage1) of this working I would like to add features in stages, graphical view of data, generation of DBC files from CSV input. Good English essential and If the solution was in Python 3 it would be preferred.
