Part2 Projet Bid / Quotation Programme in Excel - Our company is working in commercial/professional kitchen sector. We are making projects for hotels, restaurants, hospitals and etc. In projects quotations, we have lots of products. - This Programme must work on excel. Because we have a excel proposal template that our customers like. - Generally, we have parts in our quotation template, because there are lots of areas in a hotel project. For example, main kitchen, service kitchen, pool bar, loby bar, alacarte restaurants, and etc. So a product from our product database, can be used twice or more at these different areas at the same time. - From a form in excel or vba app or sth else, user can select the products according to their codes, names, categories and etc. for quotation. - Products in quotation are referenced from the product database in part1. - A product in database can be used twice or more in a quotation in different parts of quotation. In attachment, you can see our company's project quotation template.

Hello, There are multiple ways to create the Part 1 of the project i.e. the Product Catalogue. This can be done either in Access of Excel itself. This will have to be done in such a way that it may pass the information to the part 2 of the project i.e. the Quotation program in Excel. I am assuming that most of the time when your employees provide the quote, they need all the information on their computer itself. So, this need to be a template that could be updated easily as well. I can create this in Excel or Excel + Access and add macros to it that will allow the information to be managed efficiently and also create the quote. In this way you can have template data from your clients and you can easily manage products, categories etc. in MS Access. I have done this type of work before. Excel makes a nice front end since its a well known platform. Its good to have the Access db in the background since it can ensure data integrity. With the new Office version, we could do some nice things with data feeding back and forth. I will first discuss the project scope so we are agreed on the details. I will then provide a plan with milestones. Its a short time but I'd expect at least two conversations after the initial discussion. I'll provide a prototype to get agreement on the direction, and then finalize the tool. Importantly, I will provide documentation and source code so that the work can be replicated and there are directions for use. Thank you
