Programming Raspberry (IOT or Phyton) for checkin with magnetic card (IIS + MSSQL)

I have +10 years of experience in programming. I can easily make such system for you in Python. I have worked with cardreaders and can easily read them on Raspberry PI. Also it would be simple task for me to authenticate user with a remote database. There is no problem to show a message on LCD and turn on/off LED too. Hello, I have a lot of experience with Raspberry PI and Linux. I have also built a lot of applications using Python and have experience with databases, networks and hardware devices. Is the web application already built and has an API that the Raspberry PI can access? How large will the member database be? I'm asking because it might be a good idea to cache minimal member info on the RPi in order to provide a quick answer for a swipe and also deal with situations when the remote application is not accessible (for example when the network is down). Regarding using Windows IOT on the RPi I don't have a suggestion as I haven't used it myself but it seems to be pretty new so the support is probably not great yet. Thank you for your time! I'm an expert C/C++/Objective-C/PHP/Python programmer with a degree in Informatics and a great passion for homemade hardware. Please answer to some questions: 1. what kind of web server do you have (IIS, Apache...)? 2. which RDBMS you use (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle... )? 3. do you have webservices to interact with the RPi? 4. do you want an IOT architecture with publish/subscrive paradigm? (Honestly I think you need only a request/respond architecture). 5. what kind of security do you have thought to send/receive data from internet? Hi, I'm an engineer and specialise in low-level /embedded systems- and used to working for large household names in electronics, communications, telecomms and I.T. I can help you with this no problem - once we iron out some minor details. I use C++ for all programming, as it is perfectly supported in a POSIX/Linux/UNIX environment, and R-Pi uses Linux.(Raspbian); and C+= is perfect for all low-level hardware oriented projects, and should offer supreme performance and reliability, in terms of it's interfacing with the card reader - and on the other side, interfacing with the a remote web server. P.S.: Visual Studio is for Windows based programming. For Linux, you are looking at G++ or GCC as a compiler. and you would link in other libraries - as needed - for say the Smart card reader part, or cURL for remote connecting to the SQL DB via HTTP POST/GET.
