Migrate Paying Members Into A New And Working Platorm

Hello,
I am currently using a plugin called "Paid Content" [login to view URL] and it is not working properly.
All the pages that I "lock" for paying members, end up locking out everyone. As a result I've had to leave my page unlocked for the past 3 months and users can see all my free content.
The developer who created the plugin suggested that I change my website from WP engine hosting to Digital Ocean Hosting but that has been a big challenge and from what I can tell, the plugin still doesn't seem to be working.
I don''t know if I will need to migrate the paying users and their PayPal profiles to a different system, or if I can get some one to fix the existing plugin to work properly but what I really need is a system that locks out non-paying members from seeing the premium content.
I am in need of some one who can think critically about this and solve the main issue which is to keep non-paying members from having access to the premium content.
