I need my membership site (S2Member) integrated with my affiliate tracking software (Post Affiliate Pro 4) using PayPal as the processor.
S2Member uses a custom field, and when PayPal uses its IPN to callback to Post Affiliate Pro, the 3rd party custom value has to be parsed -- so that the affiliate tracking code will be sent to the affiliate software to credit the proper referring affiliate.
In other words, when PayPal sends its IPN, my S2Member is working just fine. The new customer can get signed up, emails are all fired off correctly, the payments, refunds, and EOT are all working properly.
But Post Affiliate Pro is not crediting the proper affiliate with the sale, and the commission. All the sales go to the "default" affililate. I am receiving the API notification emails and S2Member is sending the correct information to Post Affiliate Pro...but PAP is not tracking it correctly because it's not GET the tracking code (ie. 3rd party variable is not being parsed).
I have everything complete...except something isn't right...and I have no effing idea what I'm doing wrong.
I'm sure it would only take an hour (max) for someone experienced in integrating membership sites with affiliate software and PayPal - and probably a lot less than an hour to be honest. I'm just at the point where I would rather pay a 2nd set of eyeballs to look at it, rather than beating my brains out figuring it out.
If you can do it today, you get brownie points and free candy. :-)
And you will earn the Richard Stallman award if you show me what I'm doing wrong...so I won't have this problem with future installs.
Thanks, geeks. I look forward to a sunny day when I have this fixed.
P.S. Post Affiliate Pro already gives you the php code you'll need - so you won't be writing your own. There are short descriptions given, too. And S2Member has a good video tutorials and explanations that any good developer can understand....but I'm obviously not a good developer.
