The other things that decide whether this works in practice: Data type conversion. Excel stores dates as serial numbers and currency as floats with display formatting laid over them. What you see in the cell is not what openpyxl hands you. Dates in particular need explicit formatting to whatever the web form expects, and getting this wrong produces records that submit successfully and are silently wrong. I'd want to confirm the expected format for each field rather than guess. Session handling. A long run will outlive the login session on most web apps.
