OneDrive-SharePoint Migration Specialist

You will be joining our ongoing OneDrive-to-SharePoint program and acting as the hands-on executor beside our on-shore lead. Day to day you will run OneDrive inventory scans with the scanning tools we already have in place, transform the raw output into clean, well-structured reports, and help us confirm source-to-target folder mappings before each migration wave. PowerShell is central to the workflow; an intermediate level is all that’s needed because the core scripts are already written. I’ll point you to the correct parameters and expect you to adjust paths, throttle limits, and authentication blocks as required. The Graph API comes into play for delta checks and batching, so practical familiarity there is important. Experience with SharePoint site provisioning tools will let you stand up libraries and folder structures exactly to spec without babysitting the UI. Although you may touch every phase, your primary focus is on file-level validation checks. After each scripted migration run you will compare item counts, sizes, and metadata, reconcile any discrepancies, and document exceptions with clear remediation steps. All findings feed straight into our issue tracker so accurate notes are critical. Key deliverables: • Structured OneDrive inventory reports ready for sign-off • Confirmed folder-mapping matrix for each site collection • Executed migration runs with corresponding PowerShell/Graph logs • Post-migration validation reports highlighting pass/fail items • Issue log with resolution steps, updated daily I’ll handle UAT scheduling, but you’ll support by preparing validation data sets and closing any last-minute gaps before cut-over. Daily check-ins over Teams keep everyone aligned, so clear, prompt communication is a must.
