Sales Executive (Freight Forwarding)

Job Description:

Actively looking to grow our sales force. We are an international air and sea freight forwarder that specializes in providing local and international logistics solutions. Seeking a remote and competitive commission-based sales opportunity, highly motivated and dedicated to excellence, but a valuable partner to our business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sell international ocean, air, import, export services

Meet agreed-upon budget targets for revenue/profit, volume, market share, etc

Develop, maintain and up-sell accounts throughout the territory

Leverage relationships in order to bring opportunities to the table

Track and organize all activities, meetings and correspondence with accounts

Coordinate, respond to, and follow up on RFIs and RFQs

Strategize based on knowledge of the local market and competitors' activities

Work with other departments as needed to ensure client satisfaction

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Sales

Excellent knowledge of logistics including Air Import/Export and Ocean Import/Export

Knowledge of Windows based programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and principals of CMS (Customer Management System)

Strong communication skills - able to edit work for spelling and grammar, present numerical data effectively, read & interpret written information, good phone skills, is tactful and discrete in interactions

Strong sales skills

Strong organizational skills

Team player with proven ability to work under pressure

Valid driver’s license
