Overview Bean Breaker is a small-scale, round-based survival game built in Roblox. Each player has a personal “Bean” that represents their life. If their Bean is destroyed, they are eliminated from the round. Players gather resources, build simple structures, and engage in close-range melee combat. The goal is to outlast all other players by protecting your Bean while attempting to destroy theirs. This project is an MVP prototype focused purely on testing the core gameplay loop. No monetization systems are included in this phase. Core Gameplay • 8 players per match • Each player has: 100 HP A pickaxe (25 base damage) A personal Bean (100 HP) • If a player’s Bean is destroyed → they are instantly eliminated • Last remaining player wins Combat • Pickaxe-only melee combat • Damage scales during night cycles (up to 4× multiplier) • Simple block mechanic: Holding a key reduces incoming damage by 50% Blocking disables attacking Cannot block while carrying the Bean Combat is positioning-based and strategic rather than ability-heavy. Resources & Building • Trees have HP (100–1000) • Wood gained = damage dealt × 10 Buildable structures (grid-based placement): Wall (500 HP) Doorway + Door (400 HP) Roof (500 HP) Ladder (vertical movement) Structures can be destroyed by other players. Players cannot build directly around their Bean. Bean Mechanics • Each player owns one Bean • Bean HP = 100 • If destroyed → owner eliminated • Players respawn at their Bean while it exists • Players can pick up and relocate their Bean • While carrying: Cannot attack Cannot block Cannot build Every second night, Beans emit a sound ping to prevent indefinite hiding. Round Flow • Day/Night cycle • Increasing damage multiplier at night • Hard match cap with sudden-death escalation • Round resets when one player remains MVP Scope This phase excludes: • Skins • Trading • Monetization • Data saving • Advanced UI • Multiple maps The goal is to build a clean, playable prototype of the core loop.
