The Islamic Center for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) in London is seeking talented freelance researchers, grafics and journalists who share our commitment to understanding and addressing radicalisation, extremism, and the many cultural, religious, and national security issues that surround it. We are currently building a team of dedicated professionals based in or around the geopolitical areas covered in our research, including India, West Africa, Israel, and Europe. You will play a crucial role in designing, editing, and publishing periodic journals that focus on the complex topic of radicalisation. As a startup with limited resources, we will prioritize the journal areas attracting the most promising teams. At ICSR London, we welcome all applicants with a genuine interest in our mission. Hi there, I'm really excited that this project caught my attention. Being a scholar of International Relations and living in a country marred by Islamic extremism and radicalisation, I think I can provide insightful inputs to this cause. Radicalization in the Islamic world emerged from an intersection of a host of factors such as anti-globalization, colonialism, sectarianism, and proxy wars. Driven by economic, political, and ideological motivations, it gained roots in this part of the world due to poor governance, unequal distribution of wealth, and inability of rulers to keep pace with fast-changing socioeconomic global dynamics. I hope I've clearly outlined my areas of interest in this project. I'm available full-time for this job and can assume as much responsibilities as you delegate to me. I have also written a few articles on sociopolitical landscape of Pakistan in the leading English newspaper of the country. I can share them with you upon request. Hi. I am from İstanbul, Turkey. As you may know in İstanbul actually in Turkey we survive with radicalization all the time. Not long ago there were a bomb explosion in one of the most touristic place in İstanbul. And in my daily life I constantly think about it and get scared that something bad might happen. I learned to live with it but sometimes I can't stop thinking about why are they doing it. I really want to understand them although it is pretty hard. This is not the only experience I had. My country is full of people who are definition of extremism and one time even tho I tried to changed their mind they started showing psychological violence to me. I stopped fighting with it but at least I want to understand them deeper. Currently my school is online so I have plenty of time. I will research whatever you want me to.
