Hi, everyone. we are looking for talented new writers to add to our team. We’re an online content creation business, specializing in blog posts and web copy.
We’re looking to expand for the coming year and would love to bring on some more freelancers to help with our growing workload.
Here are some details you can expect from the work, should you be interested in joining us!
-Payment And Workload-
- $6/1000 word pay rate.
If we have rush jobs and need tighter deadlines, then this can go up to $7/1000 words.
- Long-term work.
For most months, we’ll have as much work as you can take! It just depends on how consistently you can deliver and if you can adhere to the style guides. The fewer edits and revisions our editing team has to do, the quicker we can get our content to the client, and the more we can give you.
- Guided revisions.
We may need you to adjust a few pieces of your work as you get used to the specific style guide or requirements for an individual assignment. We’re happy to ping it back and forth with you and help you get adjusted. We’re not one of those ‘flat reject of the article if it doesn’t hit the mark on the first two tries’ kinds of companies.
- Paid revisions.
If changes are needed because of an error, these revisions are not paid. However, if the client changed their mind about something, then you’ll be paid for this extra rework time.
- Your schedule is your own
Accept or pass on assignments according to what your own availability is. The more work you can take, and the more consistently you can deliver, the more we can give you/trust you with in the future.
- Consistent deliveries are the key!
Once you’ve agreed to a deadline, we absolutely need you to deliver that work on time. If something comes up and you can’t, or you think you might be unable to, please give us as much advance notice as you can, so we can get that assignment bumped to another writer. We can’t let the client get affected by delays.
- Average projects range from 1,000-2,500 words apiece.
Some may go as high as 4,000, and others may go as low as 750. Our main work right now is web pages and blog posts (usually long-form guides).
- Our main topics are pets (parrots and angelfish), pest control (roaches), home repair (foundation and basement repair), automotive (driving skills and car repair), and business (time management and productivity).
However, as our clients come to us with new projects and we finish old ones, the topics we work on grow and change. You’ll be working on a little bit of everything.
- Work through email, Guru, and Evernote
Right now, we work through Evernote to give assignments, with a specific workspace dedicated to use you and your assignments. This will help keep the workflow clear and the deadlines obvious, so you can manage your time accordingly. If you want to handle all communications outside of that on Guru or through email, that’s totally fine. Just let me know which channel is the best to contact you through.
-HOW TO APPLY-
If you’re interested, please send along:
- A few samples of your writing, so we can see if your style is a fit for our team.
- Ideally, this should be at least one blog post and one piece of web content (like a web page - about page, etc.).
- If you don’t have samples like this, then feel free to send along anything that can show your writing style and ability to structure an article (essays are fine).
Please also let me know how many 1,000-word articles you’d be interested in taking on a week.
Then I can ping you back with a few examples of the exact articles you’d be working on. You can let me know if you’d like to take that project on, how many you can take a week, and your general availability.
I look forward to hearing from you!
