Seeking an experienced administrative assistant that can customize, copy edit, systematically file, and otherwise manage the time-sensitive submission of job and grant application materials (cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation, and associated documents) for approximately 20-60 different employers and organizations. Each application will use largely the same material but need light customization.
Assistance may be needed with the scheduling of meetings, job interviews, and travel during this period. Will need to keep track of deadlines and progress on application components, sending reminders as needed. Will need to maintain an organized and accessible calendar of these deadlines for me and writers of letters of recommendations.
May also need light research assistance in identifying jobs and grants to apply for by reading job advertisements, searching job boards, and communicating with potential employers.
Will need to communicate directly with all parties during this period. Tactful and professional communication required. With me, I prefer a more efficient and direct communication style. Prefer if we can communicate live by video in the beginning of our work.
Work to begin in summer 2018 with short test projects early on to determine if the fit is right and to build a productive two-way relationship. Work to peak around mid-October. Assistance needed through at least December 2018. Work requires complete confidentiality.
Software skills required: MS Word, MS Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Adobe Acrobat Pro. May need to import images into documents while preserving the aspect ratio of the image.
