Create a sport Bracket
This tutorial show how to create a 2×1/2 D uniform thickness model. Shown on the right .All dimensions are in inches .

3. Use extrusion with a thickness of 5 inches of create the bracket without the cutouts shown in the screenshot on the right
The creation of this support bracket in any other way become inefficient. The above modeling strategy is the most efficient one .think of other strategies and compare them with the obe presented here
Tutorial hands - on exercise
The above modeling strategy creates the model show in the accompanying screenshot,no cutouts .create the cutouts to complete the construction of the support bracket.
Hint:Define a sketchplane for each cutout ,create a rectangular extrusion, and cut from the model shown below .The dimensions of the rectangular extrusion do have to much those of the model on the right .Make the dimensions large enough to make the extrusion stick in the front and back of the model. It does not really matter because the extraction acts as a knife to cut materials from the model.
