I’m putting together a series of realistic, story-driven short films and I need a 3D animator who can carry them from storyboard to final render with a truly cinematic look. Think smooth character motion, expressive acting, purposeful camera moves, dramatic lighting, and polished VFX that feel like they belong on the big screen. This is pure entertainment work, not advertising or e-learning, so narrative flow and visual storytelling are everything. If you enjoy crafting believable worlds, nuanced performances, and atmosphere that pulls viewers in, we’ll work well together. Expect ongoing collaboration: I have multiple scripts queued up, so once we nail the first film there’s steady work ahead. Typical workflow I envision: • Pre-vis / animatic to lock timing and camera language • Blocking, splining, and polish passes for lifelike character animation • Lighting, texturing, FX, and final 4K render (I’m flexible on tools—Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini—use what you’re fastest with) • Delivery of the finished video plus project files for future tweaks Acceptance criteria for each short: • Runtime delivered as agreed in the brief • Realistic character motion with clean arcs and weight • Consistent cinematic lighting, matching the mood boards • No visible technical issues (clipping, noise, flicker) • Final file in ProRes or DNxHR + all source assets If your reel showcases believable acting, refined camera staging, and a keen eye for detail, let’s talk about the first story and map out milestones.
