Summary Solo Law Practice | Northern New Jersey Established solo law practice seeking an experienced New Jersey real estate paralegal to assist with residential real estate transactions. This is a hands-on position for someone who already understands the NJ transaction process and can confidently manage the day-to-day details of a file with limited supervision. What You'll Do Manage residential real estate files from contract through closing Review contracts, title commitments, surveys, municipal searches, and related documents Coordinate with clients, realtors, lenders, title companies, municipal offices, and opposing counsel Prepare and organize closing documents and closing statements Track deadlines, contingencies, title issues, and outstanding documentation Communicate with clients and other transaction participants regarding file status and outstanding items Identify potential problems and bring them to the attorney's attention promptly Maintain organized electronic files and assist with general real estate practice matters What We're Looking For 2+ years of New Jersey residential real estate experience preferred Strong understanding of the NJ residential purchase-and-sale process Ability to independently manage multiple files and deadlines Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong attention to detail Comfortable communicating directly with clients, realtors, lenders, title companies, and other attorneys Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, email, and legal practice-management software Someone who is proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently Why This Position? This is not a large-firm, assembly-line environment. You will work directly with the attorney and have meaningful responsibility for active real estate matters. The position is ideal for an experienced NJ real estate paralegal who knows how transactions work and wants part-time hours, flexibility, and a more personal professional environment.
