R code for time series graphs and histograms

I am an ecologist at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, USA. I have ~40 time series data sets (~20 instruments x 2 time periods, each time series may have up to 4 variables) that I would like plotted as time series (value on Y axis, date on X axis). After inspection, a subset of the graphs will be re-plotted as multi-panel graphs (i.e., several sub-panels on a single compound graph). I also have approximately 10 variables with 15-20 data points each. For these, I would like a frequency histogram plotted, with arrows indicating the location of the two most recent data points. Again, after inspection, selected graphs will be replotted as one or two compound figures. So basically there will be two different R scripts applied to multiple data sources, and then in each case the graph script will have to be modified to make compound figures. I anticipate that the total project should take < 40 hours for someone with the right skills, with the work done in small batches over the period February to June 2018. I would like to receive the data sets as modified, the R code, and the R output.
