Hi I have working nodejs servers with python clients running in a number of applications. I would strongly suggest you use nodejs for the socketio side (SocketIO is a node native system). I use Python for a number of client applications - usually using the python socketio-0.4 module. It is not perfect but if you have your message concepts worked out it is ok. The only difficulty with multi-user is the interuser communication - again, this is just about defining how it is all going to hang together. Happy to chat. Best regards Mark
