Raspberry Pi mouth movement controlled by audio input

I have built a mask out of an old TV with the guts removed, and an LCD panel in place of the old tube screen. I'm sending video from a Raspberry Pi into the LCD. I can get it to play clips with omxplayer, and have rigged up a program to control them with keystrokes.

The next step is giving the mask a personality. I want to have a face on the screen with a mouth that responds to my voice. I have a USB mic input that I'm using with the Pi with Jasper controlling it.

There is a tutorial for a project similar to this using an Arduino and LED backpacks [login to view URL] This is what I want to do, but have the eyes and mouth appear on the LCD display instead of through the LEDs.
