Development experience with Python
Server/Incident support experience, ideally using ServiceNow
Experience with cloud, ideally Azure APIs
Understanding or experience working with automation or DevOps
Experience with GGY Axis
Experience using Chef and Terraform
Ideally experience with insurance/actuarial science for IFRS 17
The actuarial system development team is working on the system changes to be compliant with IFRS 17. The successful candidate will be joining a small, innovative team to maintaining and supporting their Actuarial system called GGY AXIS, a product from Moody's Analytics. The successful candidate will have strong fundamental understanding and coding abilities in Python and comfortable in a DevOps support role. The client uses ServiceNow to track tickets/issues and for incident management. It would be great if the candidate has experience using Azure APIs and working in a DevOps environment. They will be part of the group that is responsible for taking product ownership of the system, understanding the python code for servers i.e. if you need to turn a server on in Azure, and use GGY Cloud as a service to run the AXIS jobs. The successful candidate will be coachable, have ambition and passion for python development and support, and eager to take on challenges with an open mindset. This role offers the candidate to be coached by very strong Leads to expand their knowledge and coding ability within Python and the Azure cloud space. The candidate must have good communication and incident response skills because they will be working with various business teams to solve their server issues.
