(ii) design a computational model for (i) above.
(iii) implement the design in (ii) above.
(iv) evaluate the system's performance.
(i) Analysis will be done based on the variables and processes responsible for plants in tropical environments, such as: precipitation (rainfall and water), light, temperature, relative humidity, soil nutrient contents and competition with other plants.
(ii) Model the plant growth using context sensitive grammar re-write rules technique and design a corresponding software using flowcharts. To model the impact of the environment on plants, and the mutual interaction between plants and their environment, two extensions to Lindenmayer systems (L-system) will be used: environmentally sensitive L-systems and Open L-systems
(iii) The design in (ii) above will be implemented in L-Studio using cpfg or lpfg programming language.
(iv) The evaluation will done by comparing the developed model with real plant.
