I am looking for some help to add a login function to a kodi addon which checks a sql database for correct user/password. i have a test website with a signup/login section working and running from a sql database. I am looking to add this to a kodi addon to keep it private,so that only registered users from the website can use the addon. My test website for login/registration is here [login to view URL] the kodi addon template i want to use is attached and can also be found on github here. [login to view URL] the addon will be free addon for a private facebook group i am a member of. Lastly i have read this guide [login to view URL] but i cant seem to get this working. any help or information is very much appreciated.

What experience do you have that is relevant to this project? I can create a login to any website that uses HTTP POST. We can setup a simple UI for entering login details, but I can also setup a fancy UI with QR codes to signup pages or even a signup form within Kodi itself at extra cost if you like. Proposal: Very familiar with add-ons for Kodi, working with json API's, scraping websites and Python scripting in general. I've worked for the past 6 years creating quality add-ons for myself and others.
