I have a new python project that I wanted to ask you about. I have a script which will be used to sell ebooks. I want the following things to be done to the script: (1) The meta data, as well as description on each book's page, plus image of book. should be retrieved from Amazon using API call. It should be done in such a way, that when the source code of a book's page is opened, the correct values of meta data, description and image are shown in source code.
(2) Simple module to do batch import of books. Each product will be of form "BooK_NAME by Author_Name". The url for a book's page should be of the format [[login to view URL]<book_name][1] by author_Name> The category value is assigned to each book at the time the book is imported into database. This category value should also be fetched from Amazon. (3) Amazon provides simple widgets to showcase specific books. Add a widget so that when a book's page is opened, below the product description, the widget is shown which allows user to purchase that book directly from Amazon. Widgets will require a unique amazon affiliate ID which should be a configurable parameter in admin of the script. And there are 5 regions in amazon- germany, canada, uk, us and france. The widget should be shown for all 5 regions.
(4) Simple way to update an existing css template with another - this application is a google app engine application. What i want is if the script is already installed, then there should be an easy way to change the design portion only, keeping the other data intact.
(5) Create a simple html file that showcases each element that is used in the css file. I think you just have to let the application run and then save that html file. I will use this html file to make changes to css, then look at changes.
