Grammar Check and correction

If you view my profile you will see that I registered with Freelancer in February this year and I have 14 reviews. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing and proofreading. My ongoing freelance work includes editing papers for an online journal for translators and interpreters. I recently edited a 15,000-word document in two days for a client who was so pleased with my work that he paid me a bonus. Other recent work has included editing both a complete thesis and individual chapters from academic writing. Earlier this month I worked on rewriting a 24,500-word book to change it from a children's book to one suitable to be read by adults, and the result was described by the client as "perfect". This weekend I finished editing a second book for this client, this time 35,000 words, restructuring the chapters as well as proofreading the content, and again it was "perfect". (These jobs were via Elance.) I worked as a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. I have worked with individual clients to bring nine books to publication. Having been a teacher of English in high school for several years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays. For six years I have been a member of a writing critique group, regularly reviewing the stories submitted and occasionally writing my own.
