Both branded and non branded companies are the competitors. Collect all the historical data for every model/brand(total sales-global/local, features, price, production cost, manufacturing time, average review, consumers.....lots of point to research). These data will show the facts and numbers which will confirm that either we have the capability(required technologies, operational capacities and financial costs) or not. Say, we have. Research for the unique features that made each brand/model get more consumers(new/old), also point out the wrong/failure steps. The product should have features that not yet added to the competitors recent devices, if possible. Must have to collect feedback from the consumers about the new features(conduct massive survey).
