My approach is practical and stepwise: 1) set up a Forge/APS viewer to render the structured DWG layers and the IFC spaces and components, 2) design a compact data model to hold geometry and metadata, 3) build a REST-based data bridge to feed BI and viewer, 4) implement click-driven synchronization so selecting a room or component in Power BI highlights the object in the viewer, 5) enable optional info panels in BI showing related data, and 6) document the setup and provide a deployment guide. The PoC will use one IFC and one DWG file to demonstrate the end-to-end flow, and I will show how to scale to more files in future work.
