Hi, As per my understanding: The real risk isn't installing Medusa itself, it's that leftover files from previous attempts, old PM2 processes, conflicting Nginx configs, partial Postgres roles, are what make a "clean install" quietly inherit broken state, so this needs an actual cleanup pass first, not just installing on top of it. Implementation approach: I'd audit and remove or back up the previous installation artifacts before starting fresh, since fighting leftover state is the most common reason these setups end up unstable. Postgres gets a dedicated role and database created specifically for this install rather than reusing anything old. Nginx would run separate server blocks for the backend/admin and storefront, with SSL through Let's Encrypt. Backend and storefront run under PM2 with clear process names, and I'd configure pm2 startup and save so both recover automatically after a reboot. Documentation covers exact commands, env variables, and a basic backup routine for Postgres. A few quick questions: Should the previous installation's files be backed up before removal, or is deleting them fine? Is a domain already pointed at this VPS, or does DNS still need configuring? Is there any existing Postgres data from prior attempts that must be preserved?
