I need a licensed plumber or gas-fitter to come into my home and safely isolate the natural-gas line that currently feeds a tumble dryer in the basement. It’s a straightforward residential job: shut off the supply, disconnect the flex hose, cap the pipe to code, and verify the joint is leak-free before restoring gas to the rest of the house. The basement is fully accessible and there are no other appliances tied to this branch, so the work should be quick for someone with the right tools and certification. Please bring the materials required for a permanent capped termination and be prepared to perform a pressure or bubble test on the spot. If your jurisdiction issues compliance stickers or paperwork for gas work, I’ll need that as part of the hand-off. Let me know your earliest availability and how long you expect the task to take.

Hello, I’m a qualified and experienced plumber/gas fitter and can safely isolate and permanently cap the natural-gas line serving your basement dryer. I understand the importance of following local gas codes and completing the work safely and correctly. I can shut off the supply, disconnect the dryer flex line, install the appropriate permanent capped termination, and perform a leak/pressure test before restoring gas service to the rest of the home. I’ll bring the necessary materials and tools and can provide any required compliance documentation or inspection paperwork applicable to the jurisdiction. The accessible basement and isolated branch should make this a straightforward service call. I’d be happy to confirm my earliest availability and provide an estimated completion time. Thank you!
