SoleStride is a health and fitness app where users can track and upload their runs to a central feed for others to search. The core issue we are addressing is runners not being able to find adequate places to run whilst travelling, in addition to relieving the issue of route fatigue when at home.
With a two-pronged option, runners can either create a new loop or choose from an existing database of routes based on specific categories and locations. When a route is chosen, the app will give voice commands directing the runner to the route, and whilst en route. Our app is highly interactive and social, with athletes being able to follow other users and see how many people are running their routes.
Currently, all founders are students and student athletes at the University of Michigan. Although we have technical expertise on our team, we are wanting to expedite the process for programming due and need someone to work full time.
We have wireframes on Sketch and animations of the app, however are looking for a dedicated individual to fill in the blanks. We are all extremely passionate about this project and would love to see it's success. Our time line is to have the app up for beta testers to use by the beginning of April, and then release into the apple store once a substantial route base has been established.
