Payment Module Overview

This payment connector provides a link between Vista Web and the third-party payment service

provider MyCash. This means it lets the Vista website redirect a patron's browser to the payment service

provider's website. There, patrons can enter their card details to make a payment.

Using this connector to process web-based payments doesn't create any PCI obligations for merchants–

because card details are only captured by the third-party payment provider and are never available to

Vista or this connector.

Note: Merchants may still have PCI obligations from using other payment systems.

This [login to view URL] payment connector works in conjunction with the VistaWebPayment

website. The connector is accessed within the payment flow as follows:

1. The user reaches the VistaWebPayment preparation page.

2. They enter their email address, select a payment method (for example, MyCash, Credit, Paypal,

etc.), and submit the form.

3. Their browser is directed to the VistaWebPayment website along with payment details (for

example, the amount to pay). The Vista site looks up the configuration settings for the cinema

for which payment is being taken, and calls the relevant connector. The connector constructs the

appropriate messages for the 3rd party payment website, in the required format. Nothing is

displayed on the user's browser during this time.

4. The user's browser is then directed to the appropriate 3rd party payment URL, passing payment

details.

5. The user's browser displays the 3rd party web payment page (which asks for a card number,

card expiry date, etc.). This page is not a Vista page.

6. After the card details are submitted and payment is processed by the 3rd party website, that

website directs the user's browser back to the VistaWebPayment website.

The VistaWebPayment website directs the user's browser back to the Vista Web site, along with the

outcome of the payment attempt. The Vista Web site then displays to the user either the

purchase confirmation page (if the payment was accepted), or an error page (if the payment was

declined).
