Hey there. I trust all is well. I wanted to update the memorizer project (as an FYI, here is where my students go [url removed, login to view]):
1. Preserve capitalization (right now if you put "John" in the sentence, the word hint will say "john")
2. Give each quote a "title" or something that is not part of the string that gets randomized, but is printed on each iteration.
3. Create an "auto difficulty izer" feature that takes the string, starts with replacing X number of words with blanks and then, based on number of iterations, works it's way down to 100% blanks. So, for example, if you had a 10 word sentence and 3 iterations, but the third iteration, the entire quote would be blanks. The challenge with this is that, if you remember, there is a list of "stop words" that don't get replaced (like "to, the, etc."). So the math to make this work might need some thought.
4. Add the ability for people to login using facebook and to save a history of quotes. Not sure what the best way to do this would be. Open to whatever approach you think would be easiest.
I will put a budget and timeframe below, but happy to discuss what this will take.
