Twig Template Modification

We are editing a lightspeed retail point of sale receipt template to call a 3rd party api and incorporate the information into the twig template.

Basically we need to use the account id and sale id to call our api and check a firestore database for information. Once we have that information, depending on what it is, we need to render the page in different formats.
The lightspeed point of sale system does not support Do requests in twig
