Streamline order processing in opencart

We are trying to streamline our order fulfillment process in opencart. Basically we wish to add an extra section (or separate page) where the operator can look at the screen with a list of items contained in the order, scan the barcode on each product as they get picked, get some feedback on screen if they have been picked. And once all items are picked, a button should be enabled to generate the tracking code (see below) and print out a shipping label. At the end of the section, a button to complete the order which can update all order status/history, notify customers and move onto the next pending order to repeat. Perhaps easier done via a separate module, the tracking code should be automatically assigned from a list supplied by the logistics company. This list should be imported into a database and matched with orders as they are used up ensuring they are only used once. Ideally there should be a page to manage these tracking numbers, like showing how many unused codes are left, and allows users to add more new unused tracking codes by uploading an excel file or simply copy pasting a block of text.
