Purpose:
1 - To match up products to amazon listings by using data supplied to us.
2 - Feed suggested matches into website backend.
3 - Continuously update data matched products in website feed.
Details:
Many 3rd parties provide data to us in excel files. We currently use an existing application to run a “scan” of the data to find possible matches on amazons API. We would like to replace that application with our own.
This application would be built so that we can plug it into the backend of our site and use it to pull the data at set intervals, at will, or on schedule.
The only relevant information you would need is either a UPC code or ASIN to find possible matches to Amazon product pages. That data will be hosted within our website backend and have other data attached to it, which is not relevant to the search. The data we pull from amazon should be linked back into origin data.
Also - On our site we have products. Each product has data from amazon that is constantly changing. In addition to possible match items process, we would also want to run constant updates on those items as to show users the updated amazon data in those fields. This would pull the same information, but would be routed directly into the existing products.
I can share with you the current program we use as well as any other information you may require.
