I am running a WordPress website called Sosiaalisesti rajoittuneet ([url removed, login to view]) and that website is using a theme called Ares.
In our case the Ares theme has been modified to display certain WordPress categories a bit differently. Now the problem is that those changes are not compatible with new Ares theme versions. We would need to port them to new standard Ares version. This is the quick-hack approach.
In WordPress there is a feature called Child Theme ([url removed, login to view]). The changes we've implemented would be better off by implemented properly to a Child theme.
Ideally I would like to have the changes to be implemented to a child theme so we could be keeping on using Ares and update it freely without breaking up the whole site.
Attached are two files: themeforest-928661... for vanilla the most recent Ares theme and Ares_SRmod which is the modified one.
