PHP function(s) to convert latitude/longitude to position in map (jpg)

We need PHP a function that returns the position in a jpg map given the latitude and longitude of any point.
Image jpg size is 922x447 px of a full world map.
Given the coordinates (like 40.0625,[url removed, login to view]) it should return the position from the left and from the top in the image.
It should be achieved without using any API.
