The Laravel/PHP Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of full stack Laravel PHP applications. You will be the developer primarily responsible for the overall implementation of major backend elements, ranging from componentizing front end into views to implementing Eloquent models and related database schema and migrations to appropriate test coverage. In addition, you will be asked to contribute RESTful API design for interactions with both front end web and other front end software (such as mobile games, etc), and to implement clean responsive front end interfaces.
This is a full time position lasting for the duration of the production cycle. You will be expected to be available to attending daily stand ups, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and complete development tasks on time and to specification.
Implement high quality Laravel PHP code from top to bottom
Implement test coverage for both new and existing code
Follow and Extend API and application design based on client requirement changes
Manage application database versioning and evolution based on changing needs
Assist in deployment, scaling, and other production environment requirements
Optimize and Maintain performance requirements while maintaining code readability, reusability, and design principles.
Attend team meetings, including project kick-offs, stand ups, and additional meetings as required
Utilize and contribute to company wide code library
Qualifications & Skills:
Solid understanding of Laravel, PHP, and related technologies; at least 3 years of experience in full stack web application creation, development, and production
Strong ability to quickly implement high quality code for both Front-end and Back-end
Experience in test driven development, as well as maintaining and scaling live applications
Provien history working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
Ability to troubleshoot and triage bugs effectively and within project constraints
Able to communicate to programmers, producers, and others involved in production
Familiarity with Git and related services such as Github or Bitbucket required
Experience with project management tools such as JIRA or Trello preferred

Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (PST) Monday through Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Additional hours may be required when project completion deadlines must be met as well as for periodic client meetings. Hours will fluctuate based upon number of projects, project scale, and project timelines.
