Joomla troubleshoot language redirection issue

We have a website [login to view URL] that is built on Joomla and has a multi language setup. as you can see from the URL above it adds /en/ to the URL. All has worked until recently now the redirection is also occurring on the administrator URL which causes it to 404.
We need some troubleshooting to stop this redirection on the Admin URL, and if possible disable the language functionality. Restoring a normal Joomla
