Interactive Map - Google Maps Cluster -- 2

We want to create a flat interactive world map with 3 levels (world, country and its region, precise location), on which we will be able to add precise location/address (factories or building) Level 1 (map view): Flat World Map with some pins in several countries (location and image of pins must be editable, addresses for pins will be disclosed later on). Once the user clicks on 1 of those pins, he is redirected ot level 2. Level 2 (satellite view): Country and its zone will display several pins, on each pins the user will be able to mouse hover and see a tooltip displaying information like exact location/address, name of the factory and activites. Once he click on the pins, he is redirected to level 3. Level 3 (satellite view): On this closer view, the user sees a zone with a pin on a building and when he click on it, he will be redirected to an existing page (link will be disclosed later on). The user must be able to navigate between each level. Each level will have its little animation (mouse hover, glow, tooltip). The addresses of pins must be editable later on as well. This project might be subject to a second iteration for small improvements once the first goal is reached. Resources that will be used: XML for settings, KML for locations. Editor mode: The Map Editor Mode has all the same features of the standard display map with some extra features to allow places to be added, deleted and edited. The editor mode will be restricted for people with responsibility for maintaining the map data. An ‘import place’ function will allow the user to add a new place by inputting an address and then clicking an import button. The edit function will allow the user to alter the name, address, product categories, the primary place position and to add, edit and delete component place objects (polygons and virtual tour hot spots). A delete function will allow a place and its component objects to be deleted from the map. During the editing process the place KML data is stored in a text box on the page. By default this KML text box will be hidden but the visibility can be toggled by clicking an associated link. When editing is complete a ‘Save Changes’ button will store the changes made. In the demonstration version this operation will be implemented using C# code for the ASP .Net page. If another web technology is used (e.g. PHP) an alternative implantation would need to be set up. The operation to implement is simple, it just requires saving the contents of the KML text box to a file at a specified location.
