System Overview:
The website is a bilingual and dual currency B2B platform to exhibit loose diamonds to potential international buyers whom are strictly approved members of the site and have given credentials .
The inventory of the diamonds will be consisting of two different databases :
Our own database of Diamonds , this will be uploaded in two different ways :
A - Bulk inventory upload from an xls file auto-generated by our system once a day and auto retrieved (or at user convenience)
B. Single stone upload directly into the site (at user convenience )
2. “Memo goods” - data of stones that we get from other suppliers under their approval for sale to the buyers for a limited time with renewal option :
A. From professionals - approved members of the trade ( Buyer can be also supplier of goods under same B2B account ).
B. Private people who want to sell their diamonds back to professional buyers - such diamonds shall be first evaluated and then documented by us into the system .
Any account in the system shall have clearances as different entity : 1. Wholesale 2. Retail 3. End-user . An account can be defined as either but a wholesaler can also have Retailer clearance.
Wholesale : can see all fields of the inventory , including asking prices and place bids on the system for our review and approval . Will be determined by country and thus see the content of the site at his own language ( English / Japanese , JPY / USD ) . Can give diamonds on memo for sale as well as buy .
Retail : Can see the inventory at a X% markup price . Can bid below markup price for purchase for our review . Can request consignment for 5 days on a calendar day to be approved by us. Consignment Shall be priced separately case by case. Can show his clients our inventory with a X% markup to his definition on a separate sub url within our site so his clients see as if it is his inventory.
End user - no login required , can not see prices at all , can communicate with us to sell his diamond. Can request a quote for a specific diamond and will be asked to fix a day for inspection on such request (not mandatory).
Inventory shall consist of all fields entered , any user can filter the inventory to his specific requests and then ON the filter can sort the query by any category : For example - client can choose to see/filter only diamonds from 1.2 to 1.3 carats and then can sieve them to run by color or clarity , up (A-Z) or down (Z-A) etc.
We currently work with a software Customized and written for our business ( IDIA) designed and maintained by Mr, Nrupesh Patel .
We also own a video scanning machine from [login to view URL] . Links of INTERACTIVE videos of the diamonds that are embedded will be uploaded by us and hosted on their dedicated server so that on the website there is only need for a link .
We also display our inventory on [login to view URL] producing an xls file from our system (IDIA) . This same file shall be provided by us and used for bulk upload to site.
The site shall be able to bring data from the laboratories :
[login to view URL] from weight and certificate number ( open new tabs)
And
[login to view URL] from certificate number (open new tab)
On diamonds we receive as Memo goods, we shall charge a fix 3% commission if sale takes place.
No online sales take place. No need for shopping carts nor payment gates - site is strictly for display and negotiation purpose.
Site shall be fully responsive to any screen / device / operating system and design shall be very clear . No advertising either.
Back end can determine an “event” for specific dates (until time by hours ) when specific marked goods are on “ auction “ for bidding . At such times minimum prices for the marked goods shall exist but not be displayed, and buyers can enter bids . bids are anonymously displayed . Myself can also enter bids. The marked goods shall have a hidden minimum price, if not reached - top bidder (only if not won) shall earn 1 star in the system . 1 star equals discount of 1000 yen on next purchase (we shall need to update the system when such purchase occurs.
