## Experienced LAMP / CodeIgniter Developer Needed – Full Website Restoration & Migration We are seeking an experienced **LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)** and **CodeIgniter** developer to restore our website from existing backup files onto a new testing domain. This project requires an experienced developer who understands complete website recovery, CodeIgniter applications, database migration, server configuration, and source code verification. ### Project Scope We will provide: * Complete website backup files * Database backup(s) * Application source code * Project files * A new hosting account with cPanel * A new testing domain The new hosting environment will be configured to closely match our production server, including the same PHP version and related server settings. ### Your Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: * Restore the entire website from our backup files. * Restore all databases and verify data integrity. * Configure the application so it operates correctly on the new testing domain. * Update all domain references throughout the application, configuration files, and database where necessary. * Update email configuration settings to use the new testing domain and email addresses while maintaining identical functionality. * Verify that every page, feature, API integration, scheduled task (Cron jobs), file uploads, user authentication, forms, and application function operates exactly as it does on the production website. * Identify and resolve any issues discovered during the restoration process. * Confirm that the restored environment is a complete 1:1 working copy of our production system. * Review the codebase for any hard-coded paths, URLs, email addresses, or server-specific configuration that must be updated for the new environment. * Ensure appropriate file permissions and application security settings are correctly configured after restoration. ### Verification & Testing As part of our acceptance process, we will ask you to demonstrate that the restored source code is fully accessible and editable. Specifically, during the project we may request: * Up to **20 source code file requests** for specific pages or features so we can make minor modifications and verify that the changes appear correctly on the restored site. * Up to **10 database-related changes or updates** to confirm that database access and application functionality are fully operational. Please include these tasks in your bid. ### Deliverables At project completion, we expect: * A fully functioning website on the new testing domain. * Complete restoration of all files, databases, images, uploads, and application functionality. * Verification that the restored site matches the production environment as closely as possible. * A written checklist confirming all major website functions have been tested. * Full access to all source code and project files. * Documentation of any configuration changes made during the migration. * A summary of any issues found during the restoration, along with the solutions implemented. ### Required Technical Skills Applicants should have strong experience with: * PHP * MySQL / MariaDB * CodeIgniter (please specify your version experience) * Apache / Linux server administration * cPanel / WHM * SSH and command-line administration * Git version control * Website migration and disaster recovery * Debugging large legacy PHP applications ### Proposal Requirements To help us evaluate your experience, please include: * A brief summary of similar restoration or migration projects you have completed. * Your years of experience with CodeIgniter and PHP. * Whether you have experience restoring large production websites from backups. * Your availability during the project. * Confirmation that you can complete the project within the required timeline. ### Requirements We will only consider freelancers who have: * A rating of **4.9/5 or higher**. * Extensive experience with LAMP, PHP, MySQL, and CodeIgniter. * A strong history of successfully completed projects with excellent client feedback. * Excellent written English communication. * Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before work begins. ### Timeline The project must be completed within **7 calendar days** from the date we award the project and provide access to the backup files, hosting account, and testing domain. ### Important This is a **mission-critical project**. We are looking for a senior developer who has successfully restored complex PHP/CodeIgniter applications before. Accuracy is far more important than speed.
