Fix "DBrepair tool has stopped working" on my PC

Hello
I use an email program called "Em Client" I cannot access this as when I try and open the email program, a box appears saying "dbrepair tool has stopped working" My PC is windows 8.1.
I understand this could be an issue with my registry? I have tried a few basic programs to fix and clean my registry without success,
I do not wish to restore my PC back to get working.
