Extracting data from the image graph with web service -- 2

I need to create a service that once you upload a picture (it will be ALWAYS a 2D Cartesian plot with many curves) and you will see that in fact they come down to 3 different styles:

1. The background is of one color and the curves are of a different color

2. the background & curves are both colored but of different colors

3. the background and the curves are both of same colors (colored or not)

It could seems that they are in fact different, but I see as two cases only, so I will describe what I think is the best method for them:

1 & 2) consider the background original color to be the one in the neighborhood of the origin, so type 1 & 2 are the same, so you will receive a curve and a input pair (X,Y) and it is to be checked if for cases 1 & 2 if the point lies in the background color or not, if yes, then there is not fit, it shall return 0, if it is in the curves color then it shall return 1

In this case the point will either be between 4 boundaries or will be on the top of some boundary, if thats the case then it shall return 1, otherwise it shall return 0

The language is free of choice, we use PHP, but if you would like to use another, I expect to get the JSOn with 0 or 1

When entering the image I will enter the following:

Name of the manufacturer (mandatory - it is a String)

Model (optional - it is a String)

Number of Stages (optional - integer)

Speed (Optional - integer)

Standard (Mandatory - String/more than one standard may apply)
