Hi,
My two teenage kids have developed and published their own fantasy trading card game called Exodus.
They are currently developing a worldwide player ranking system on a new Organized Play website and need someone to take their mockups and separate image files and create HTML pages, as well as help them implement page designs onto the new website. The site had started to be built previously by someone using Kohanna Framework. The person who worked on it previously put in place the database and PHP coding, but we need the site to be easily editable, so you may have to start from scratch on the code. What we first need is someone to help us finish the site visually and make artwork-buttons/tabs/links clickable and functional (with color glows on mouseover, rotating card images and such) and everything to display correctly whether on desktop or mobile platform. To be clear, we are looking for a web designer who can take our artwork and mockups and create the fully functional html/css/java/etc. code that we can upload to the server.
The attached homepage mockup is a good reference to what we are looking for. The job consists of the following:
• Taking the provided artwork, images, and references and creating functional HTML/CSS code to upload to the site and have complete functional and visual pages set up to the kids' liking,
• Making all pages appear correctly on desktop monitors and phones/mobile devices (there will be about 15 different pages on the website),
• Creating and designing new pages from scratch (using plenty of provided artwork),
• Helping the kids' upload the final web pages to the hosting server,
- Ability to mark which Guild players are playing for in the game [the selected Guild changes the colors and background artwork of their profile page; a different Guild can be selected afterward; there are 3 guilds to choose from]
The code must be editable and allow us to change out the artwork, drop in characters, change the wording, etc.
*NOTE: If awarded the job, you will be required to sign our standard NDA agreement.
To be clear, we are not looking for an ongoing web developer/designer, but the code that creates these pages and functions and can be added to the Organized Play website easily. My kids are paying for this with their own money, and I will add in a bonus at the end. This is a fun and professional project that will make the site stand out from anything else in the gaming industry! We look forward to working with you on this project!
