Create a Ruby component that provides a Ruby API on top of the HTTP interface to Trac. Trac is a web based, open source software project management system: [url removed, login to view] Use public HTTP interface into Trac. Do not go directly to the database behind Trac. Provide the following capabilities: * Accept initialization parameters of: base Trac URL, user name, password. * Retrieve all Component values. * Retrieve all Milestone values * Retrieve all ticket numbers for all open tickets given a Component value. * Retrieve the Summary, Description, Component, and Milestone for all open tickets given a Coomponent value. Retrieve all of this data with a single HTTP request to Trac. * Retrieve a ticket's Summary, Description, Component, and Milestone by ticket number. NOTE: Component, Milestone, Summary, and Description all refer to Trac field names. All retrieved data must be returned as simple Ruby objects with all of the Trac UI HTML stripped out. The component must support Trac version [url removed, login to view] The goal is to build a Ruby component to provide these services. The component will be called from a Ruby application. To demonstrate the component works deliver it with a simple command-line Ruby application that exposes all of the functions.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
