Marks Management System

Problem statement General management and access to students’ marks is a rigorous exercise that has always consumed teachers’ time as they record, add up, arrange and report student’s marks and grades. Some of the products of this rigorous exercise are inaccurate, hectic, time consuming and sometimes untimely. I am seeking a lasting and more efficient solution to the problems associated with the current manual system of marks management. Objectives General Objective; To design a system that will help solve the problems associated with the current manual system in the management of marks O'level. The system is aimed at providing a platform for recording, adding up, arranging and reporting student’s marks and grades to the teachers, administration and the students. Specific Objectives; o To design a system that will provide a platform for secure entry and storage of students’ results. o To design a system simplify marks calculations such as additions leading to the final grade. o To design a system that is customized to the needs and views of different users to improve marks privacy. o To design a system that simplifies the grading system of Students’ marks. o To design a system that will help automates report processing and printing. o To design a system that will creates an avenue for ease of access to students’ marks for the students. Scope The system is intended for the O’level . It will put into consideration all the processes from registering students in the different classes, recording, processing to calculating and report processing. 1.5 Significance The significance of the system is derived from the current need for a solution to the current problems of the manual system of marks management . I need a system that will efficiently manage student’s marks, provide a more secure way of accessing and storing student’s marks and ease the marks processing and report printing at the school. ## Deliverables 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement). 2) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 3) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Employer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Worker in ready-to-run condition in the Employer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the employer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this project. ## Platform In need the system developed in php and mysql mainly
