WORDPRESS : Need to allow "Contributor" Role to be able to Edit Posts and Upload Images - But do not want to use

WORDPRESS help needed : Need to allow "Contributor" Role to be able to Edit Draft Posts, Delete Draft Posts and Upload Images, which are not allowed for contributors. I know there are Role Changing Plugins, but those plugins conflict with my W3 Cache plugin (that I cannot deactivate for traffic/server overload reasons). When I change those roles using a plugin (I've tried a few), the Contributor can see their dashboard, but when they try to check the drafts page or the edit posts page, its completely blank. So obviously there's a conflict. And I would like a short term quick fix by hardcoding those privileges on the backend instead of using the plugin. So I can keep the W3 Cache activated.

So I'd like to be able to allow Contributros access to the following capabilities, but done in the backend either via the actual Wordpress files or via the database. The three privileges that I want added are

1) edit_posts

2) delete_posts

3) upload_files

Please let me know what your estimates are to complete this task.
